open in April after council receive
BOSCOMBE’S controversial surf reef is set to re open in April after Bournemouth council received insurance payouts of mo Bcbg Outlet re than 300,000 to fund repairs.
Tourism chief Mark Smith said he hopes repairs to the reef will enhance a planned coastal activity park for the seafront.
“The council has successfully reached an insurance settlement for the surf reef and so is now undertaking the necessary work to ensure the reef is safe for people to use” he said.
The plans to re open the attraction have been criticised by Labour councillor Ben Grower, who claims it has never worked and that money has been wasted.
He said: “To put the money back underwater is a complete waste and shows this council can’t learn from its mistakes. Why else do they think ASR have been liquidated? It’s not because they provide fantastic solutions, very clearly! In fact, we heard a number of years ago that our wonderful councillors went on a jolly to New Zealand to see a similar creation by the same company, that also didn’t work properly! I can only assume the contract was signed after dinner, a Bcbg Outlet nd ASR were picking up the bar bill.
I expect the 300K will be spent on consultants to decide what to do with it, then several million quid of council tax money will be wasted on trying to fix something that is unfit for purpose. well this farce is Bcbg Outlet not funny and the idiot who proposed this should hang his/her head in shame, but then we all know this council acts for itself not the residents
thought it was 1st April when I read the article , I thought nothing would surprise me regarding Bournemouth council and its out of touch councillors, clawed back 300k and want to plough it back into a failed project, you could not make it up , other oldies like me will remember the the very funny Brian Rix farces. well this farce is not funny and the idiot who proposed this should hang his/her head in shame, but then we all know this council acts for itself not the residentsBBC (Bournemouth Crazy Council)(Bournemouth Beach Cockup). The only thing that will open will be the canvas bags. If it cost 3.2m to build in the first place, Bcbg Outlet how is 300k going to do the repair work required, to the damage caused by sheer shoddy workmanship, and not a boat propeller, unless it was council owned.
BBC, use the money to enhance what is alread working, and let the unused, unworked, useless surf reef become what it is good at. A Marine Life dwelling.
